            Aiysha’s Unique Feat









            This is the proud moment for the
            public education sector in the state
            since S. Aiysha from Koyilandy in
            Kozhikode district secured the 12
            th rank in the National Eligibility
            cum Entrance Test (NEET)2020
            for admission to undergraduate
            medical and dental courses.

            Aiysha, who studied at the
            Government Vocational Higher
            secondary school at Koilandy
            bagged the 12 th rank in the All
            India - level exam and the state
            topper with 710 marks out of 720.
            11 other students from the state
            figured among the first 100 in the
            NEET exam.


            Dakshayani’s                                              Dakshayani hailing from Paravur, is

                                                                      allotted with an apartment, since her
                                                                      wards applied for a safe shelter under
                                                                      the LIFE scheme. This is the first time
            New Life in a flat                                        in the state that a flat complex is being
                                                                      provided for a single - family under the
                                                                      Government housing scheme; the flat
                                                                      built at a cost of Rs. 25.25 lakh.
                                                                      Dakshayani’s children applied for a house
                                                                      via the Life Mission Scheme. Rs. 4,25,000
                                                                      has been allotted to each family to build
                                                                      a 450 square feet house. But it was not
                                                                      practical to build 6 houses in 5 cents of
                                                                      land. But the local self- government office
                                                                      bearers, Kudumbasree executive director
                                                                      S. Harikishore intervened and decided to
                                                                      provide the apartment to the applicants.
                                                                      The flat houses 6 apartments.
                                                                      Dakshayani’s children Sasi, Rajesh,
                                                                      Kannan, Selvan, Premkumar, Vijaya and
                                                                      Rajan together own the flat.  Dakshayani
                                                                      will stay with them. Each apartment
                                                                      has all facilities including  2 bedrooms,
                                                                      kitchen, hall, and bathroom.
