4. You are now presented with a selection of styles or backgrounds from which to
choose (not illustrated). Again take some time to view each of the styles. Keep your
users in mind when you choose a style and pick one that will be user-friendly. Click
Next again.
5. Type Customer Form for the title. Select Modify the form's design as indicat-
ed in Figure 3-14. Click Finish and a screen resembling Figure 3-15 will appear.
6. To enlarge the form's work area, place the mouse on the right side of the work
area (the dotted area) until the crosshairs appear. Click and drag the mouse to the right
enlarging the work area approximately one to two inches. Similarly, add space for a form
title by placing the mouse between the Form Header bar and the Detail bar until the
crosshairs appear. You can refer to Access' help function for further information regarding
the names of various form segments. Click and drag the Detail bar down approximately
one-half inch as shown in Figure 3-15.
7. Click the Label Aa icon on the form design toolbox to create a stand-alone label
and draw a rectangle in the header window. If you do not see the toolbox, click the Toolbox
'* icon to get it. Type the label "Customer Form." Click outside the label once and then
click the label once. Notice that the Format toolbar is enabled. Format the label using a
bold, size 18 font (see Figure 3-16). Save the form and close it. Your Customer Form is
now listed in the database.
