If you choose to work towards STUDY
qualifications, you will study ESOL units at STYLE
SCQF levels 2-6. Your lecturer will discuss
levels with you before you decide. Each unit
takes about 36 hours to complete.
Working towards formal qualifications:
ESOL for Everyday Communication
develops the language skills needed for
everyday life in personal, social and
transactional contexts. For example:
providing personal information; talking to
friends and shopping.
ESOL in Context develops the language
skills needed for work or study-related
contexts. For example: writing CVs; emails
or study skills.
If you are not working towards SQA
qualifications you can join the class at any
point in the year and you can study for a
college unit in, for example, research
and presentation.
