A Message From
Rav Moshe Zev Katzenstein, Shlit”a
Rosh Yeshiva
Here we are, once again celebrating another year of the
Yeshiva’s success and accomplishments. We are now in the
fifteenth year of the Yeshiva Gedolah’s existence in its present
state in the community. Fifteen is also the number of steps
leading into the Bais Hamikdash. The Kohen would ascend
these steps reciting a different one of the Shir Hamaalos on
every step. The Yeshiva has ascended many steps, each taking
us to a higher level of engagement, productivity, and םש שודיק
םימש. At each level, we need to sing a ריש to acknowledge the
ascent. We are truly able to sing a song of gratitude to Hashem
for the gift He has given us to accomplish with so many people.
We can also sing a song that expresses בוטה תרכה to all of you
who have helped us reach these plateaus. To the Bnei Yeshiva
who have created a standard of commitment and to the Baalei
Baatim who appreciate it and enhance it – Thank You!
These same steps lead into the Azara. The Kohen uses
them to enter into the place of higher Kedusha. This is also
appropriate in that the Yeshiva represents an opportunity
for each individual to enter into a place of greater levels of
Torah and Kedusha. The Yeshiva, through the Bnei Torah
who comprise it, represents an unwavering standard that is
consistent with the Mesorah upon which it is built. All of the
members of the Yeshiva Family are seeking to be part of that
elevated standard and want to ascend the steps to enter the
sanctuary that embodies it. Each step that brings us closer to
entering those hallowed halls is punctuated with Shir – with
song.
These fifteen years have represented tremendous אתעייס
אימשד, real growth in the facility, the size of the Yeshiva and the
