The official flag of the 1980 Games is white;
with a red emblem on it. The symbols for the
opening and closing 01 the Games have been
prepared. In the first case, it is a white square
with a picture of the bowl with the Olympic
Flame, and in the second, the same design, but
without the Olympic Flame. The Olympic
pictograms have been designed by N. Belkov of
Moscow. Some of them are already on view on
Moscow thoroughfares leading to Olympic
centres. These signs will be up at the competitive
arenas, on entrance tickets and in guidebooks.
