Musab Mohamed Elmahi Eltahir received his B.Sc. in Geology from Al Neelain
University, Sudan in 2000 and his M.Sc. in Petroleum Geology from the University
of Khartoum, Sudan in 2007. Currently, he is working as a Development Geologist in
Greater Nile Petroleum Operation Company. His interest is mainly towards reservoir
characterization.
Mutwakil Nafi Fadil Elmula received his B.Sc. in Geology from the University of
Sebha, Libya in 1990. He gained a M. Sc. degree in Sedimentology from the University
of Khartoum, Sudan in 1997. He obtained his Ph.D. in Petroleum Geology from China
University of Geosciences, China in 2003. He is employed as a Lecturer at the University
of Dongola since 1997, later promoted to Assistant Professor in 2005 . He worked at
the Eritreaian Institute of Technology (EIT), College of Engineering and Technology,
Department of Mining Engineering, Asmra between 2011-2014. Currently, he holds a post
of Associate Professor at the University of Dongola, Faculty of Earth Science and Mining.
His scientific interest is mainly towards sedimentology and stratigraphy.
Naila Mohamed Osman Babiker is a director of the Seismological Research Institute,
National Centre of Research in Khartoum, Sudan. She received B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc.
degrees in geology from the University of Khartoum in 1994 and 1998, respectively. She
was awarded a doctoral degree at the Sudan Academy in 2010 for a dissertation on seismic
hazards. She joined the Seismological Research Institutes in 1996 as a research assistant
and she holds a position of Assistant Professor since 2010.
NourAlla Elamin Babiker Ahmed received his B.Sc. (Hons.) in Geology from the
University of Khartoum, Sudan in 2002. He is currently working as a Geophysicist in
Sudapet Company. His interest mainly is towards seismic interpretation, sedimentology
and G & G prospect generation.
Omer Babikir Abdel Rahim received his B.Sc., in Applied Geology from the Faculty
of Science, Damascus University, Syria in 1993. He got a Higher Diploma in General
Geology with special emphasis on Petroleum Geology as well as an M.Sc. in Geology
from the University of Khartoum in 1997 and 1999, respectively. He worked as exploration
geologist at the Geological Research Authority of Sudan between 1997-1999. Currently,
he is working at the Central Petroleum Laboratories “CPL”, Ministry of Petroleum. His
scientific interest is mainly towards biostratigraphy and sedimentology.
Omer El Badri Ali received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Geology from the University
of Khartoum, Sudan in 1967 and 1972, respectively. He obtained a Ph.D. degree in
Sedimentology Palaeoecology from Reading University, U.K. in 1978. Currently he is
working as Professor in the University of Khartoum. His scientific interest is mainly
towards sedimentology, palaeontology and petroleum geology.
