CO-SCHOLASTIC ACTIVITIES

Co-Scholastic activities facilitate in the development of various domains of mind and personality
such as intellectual development, emotional development, social development, moral
development and aesthetic development. Our vidyalaya conducted many co-curricular activities,
aiming at these facets of personality development. Many online competitions like quiz
competitions, hindi and English Essay writing, English Poem Recitation, painting competition,
Hindi kavyapath, English Debate, English short story telling, poster making, Hindi Debate
competition, Hindi speech, Hindi letter writing, Quotation Writing, Rangoli making, best out of
Waste, Science Exhibition, slogan writing, drawing competition, collage making, poster making
etc were conducted in the session with great enthusiasm.
Online quizzes were conducted on and off on different occasions. Webinars on various days of
national importance were conducted to bring about awareness among students and parents.
Many such activities were organized in the primary sections too like solo song competition,
rangoli making, group dance, English calligraphy, diya making, rakhi making, group song, fancy
dress competition etc, to boost the creativity of the our tiny-tots.

CALENDER ACTIVITIES

The session 2019-20 in April in the new normal mode i.e. on the digital platform through
Watsapp, WebEx, Google Meet, Jio Meet etc. The classes for Second to Tenth and Twelfth began
in the month of April. The classes for XI started in the month of August and for I started in the
month of September owing to the pandemic. The teachers of XI and I induced the students
through the virtual mode and displayed exemplary efforts to continue the teaching learning
process.

‘Health is Wealth’ Yoga day was observed on 21 June 2019 after a fornight long camp of Yoga in
the Vidyalaya following the government SOP to curb COVID-19. The students were connected to
the activities through Google meeting.
In September the school observed Hindi Pakhwada where different activities were performed to
promote and inculcate love and respect towards our mother tongue.
In October 151st year of Gandhiji’s Birth Anniversary was celebrated along with Swachcha Bharat
Abhiyan, where online exhibition , Swachchta rally and Poster making competition, drawing
competition, speeches, essay competition were organised digitally.
In the same month we observed Vigilance Week with high spirits in which we had Quiz on anti-
corruption, Essay Competition, Webinar on Sensitisation of employees and parents, and online
grievance redressal platform was made on the school website for addressing the queries of the
parents.

On 15 November the Birthday of Shiyali Ramamrita Ranganathan was celebrated and a quiz for
Students and Teachers was conducted through Google forms to spread awareness among
students on importance of books.
