Gemitaiz
In the last six or seven years, one of the music genres that most have
met the taste of teenagers in Italy is Hip Hop music, also called Rap.
This genre, which was born in America, was brought here by many
pioneers, way before it became famous in our country.
In particular, a rapper who really contributed to make this genre
become what it is today in Italy comes from Rome and his name is
Gemitaiz.
He began making music independently and the first albums he
published were available for free, to demonstrate that he worked not
for money, but for the love of music.
Through his career Gemitaiz has collaborated with many other
important artists of the Italian Rap scene and, when he began to sell
his albums, he also began to appeal to the mainstream audience.
His life is probably what makes every listener relate to him and
appreciate him: Gemitaiz was born in a rough neighborhood, he lost
his father when he was very young and, through hard work and a lot of
passion, he made it to the top of the Italian music charts.
Gemitaiz is still very active today and every year he releases two
albums: a mixtape (downloadable for free) and a paid one.
