“Hey sweetie, do you want anything” A voice called out from
behind the staircase. Diego’s mom was cooking breakfast in the
kitchen just as Diego arrived downstairs.
“No” he replied. It is very straightforward and very direct
“No”.
There was no annoyance or rudeness in that response at
all. In fact, there wasn’t any emotion or any sense of care from the
boy. It was just indifference. Diego then walked out of the house,
took the crowded hover bus, and was heading for school.
During the way, he saw nothing but large tall skyscrapers
made of glass, each was probably about 150 floors high with lots
of electronic billboards on them. He also saw thousands of faceless
people covered in suits and ties walking into these buildings until
he finally arrived at his school, the journey took around an hour and
a half from his house because of a few traffic jams one should get
used to living in the city and Diego was used to it. “It only took 90
minutes, lucky me!” He thought to himself as he has definitely seen
worse.
At school, everyone was rushing towards their classes and
so was Diego. In fact, because of the speed at which he was going,
he accidentally crashed into someone and tumbles.
“Watch where you are going!” shrieked Diego at the boy.
“Oh my, isn’t that the Diego? The famous Diego Ziel? The
only person in our school with a perfect 4.00 GPA and the highest
score in Maths, Science, Animal Social, Mars History, and Classical
Sanskrit? Nice to meet you! My name is Joseph.” The boy reached
