Exhaust Coolant Fittings
The coolant fittings used on the exhaust manifold or elbow vary according to application. Fittings typically will not need to be
replaced. Should an elbow need to be replaced, new fittings are supplied with the new elbow. Refer to the instructions that
come with the new elbow for installation details.
Elbow Fittings
The charts below illustrate the possible exhaust elbow coolant fitting combinations.
• For seawater‑cooling applications, the available fittings are dependent only on whether it is an MCM (sterndrive) or MIE
(inboard or TowSport) model.
• For closed‑cooling applications, the available fittings are dependent only on the elbow's rise height.
• Regardless of the application, all fittings on the elbow conduct only seawater (not coolant/antifreeze).
NOTE: Exhaust elbows are port and starboard‑specific in the 0‑inch, 2‑inch, and 4‑inch riser heights.
NOTE: Due to the many sizes of elbows and the starboard/port variations, images may not exactly match a given configuration.
