ABOUT THE A study of the English language provides the perfect context for the study of
PROGRAMME literature, which in turn develops sophisticated reading skills. At Management
and Science University (MSU), you will be introduced to general linguistics,
sociolinguistics, and literature in English; the structure of English, literary
stylistics, and English phonetics and phonology; professional English, English for
occupational purposes, and creative writing; as well as prose analysis, theatre
appreciation, and media literacy. A host of literary styles will also be explored,
from Asian and Malaysian to American and contemporary.
