INTRODUCING
AMANDA "THE BOSSMOM"
CORRAL
BEHIND THE SUCCESS
How did you get started in the Real Estate
industry?
It really happened by default. Never was it in my plan.
At one point during my childhood my mother was an
agent. I remember going to her office and hanging
out there, visiting properties and such. She was more
heavy into working with investors. But never did I
imagine I would go this route. I have been an artist
most of my life. I was into music and entertainment
since I was 12 years old and to be honest with you
that was my passion and all I really knew. Of course I
had odd jobs here and there, but music was my true
calling. After my split with my daughter’s father I had
to figure out my next moves and the life of an artist
is very demanding. It wasn’t something I could real-
ly entertain in my situation. I needed to be with my
daughter as much as possible and being on the road,
in night clubs and in recording studios would take me
away from her far too much. I had to make a decision.
My mom suggested I get my license and so I did. My
first deal was pretty impressive and I think it set the
tone for my career. It’s been a great field for me, very
natural. I’m a people’s person. I always say I’m not in
the real estate business. I’m in the people business.
What is your motivation and why?
My motivation is making sure my daughter
Mikaela has options in life. I want to make sure
she knows that as a minority woman you can
accomplish anything on your own. You don’t
need anything or anyone to feed you. If you
can dream it and you want it, you can make it
happen. I also am very determined to show
other people that you can come from anywhere,
go thru anything and still overcome those things
and have a success story. I feel like motivating
people to reach high is a calling of mine.
