In a t of anger, Yanni replied, “And you swore to protect Ionia, look around you brother. Your
               honour stains the ground!”

               “Better with than without it.”

Their blades collided and had many exchanges, but with one erce clash of steel, Yanni’s wind
technique overpowered Yona’s dual blades. Yona died in Yanni’s arms, his nal breath being the

name of the technique that meant Elder Souma’s demise, which was a technique only Yanni
               could have pulled.

Now, without a master or brother, Yanni was left to wander across Ionia, in search of his
master’s killer and carrying a heavy burden of guilt, and being unforgiven. Along his quest, he
meets a young mage who had escaped the enemy military. In her, Yanni saw an unlikely student,
and decided to train her in the ways of elemental magic. At last, embracing the teachings of
Elder Souma. Yanni and this young mage parted ways, the latter returning to her native lands,

and Yanni setting out for his own home village, determined to put his mistakes right and nd
               his master’s killer.

However, when Yanni was at the council hall, it was revealed that Elder Souma’s death was an
accident, which appeared to have been caused by an enemy exile, known as Riven. It was also
remarked that Riven had even felt deep remorse for her doings. Yanni had his answer, yet still
could not fathom his regret for abandoning his post and leaving Elder Souma.

Yanni continued to wander the magical lands of Ionia, carrying his burden with him, and a
               pipedream which was forgiveness.

He then stopped by at a small town, where a spirit blossom festival was being carried out. He
hoped the healing rituals could ease his heart a bit, however, it was in this town that he came
across a demonic creature looking to feed upon his pain and regret. The creature, disguised as an
old man, led the unexpecting Yanni to an ethereal river located within a cave. The river o ered
healing and spirit blossoms were oating throughout the river, as the spirit blossoms which have

been gone for years are nally making a return. Yanni let his guard down, and fell under the
in uence of the “old man”, who was getting ready to pounce on Yanni at any moment. Yet a
masked intruder intervened, striking down the demonic creature with a righteous fury and

Yanni realised this man could only be his one and only brother, Yona. Yona had been given a
