“Yes! Finally, tomorrow is halloween. I can finally hang out with my friends, it has been a
long time since I last met them. Aww man!! I can’t wait for it!”, said Jane excitedly as she
was jumping around her room.

Jane jumped on her bed, rolling back and forth as she called her friends, Martha, Sarah
and Penny.

“Hey guys tomorrow is halloween, why don’t we hang out together and do some treats or
trick or do some pranks just like the good old days since we haven’t met each other for a
long time?”, asked Jane.

“Sorry Jane, but my parents want me to spend some halloween time with my cousin and
you know that my mom is really scary, so sorry,” replied Sarah.

“I am really sorry but my parents have been having an argument since yesterday and I
tried to talk to them but it only makes things worse, I’ll try to talk to them when they are
done arguing,” Penny said with a sigh.

“Sorry my parents want me to go somewhere with them tomorrow so I cannot have
halloween tomorrow, my bad,” Martha said with a disappointed tone.

Jane said that it’s okay and she will wait for Penny’s reply tomorrow, she then put down
her phone and then went to sleep.

When the next day came, Jane woke up immediately, wanting to know Penny’s answer on
whether she can join her or not. Not so long after Jane finished her breakfast, her phone
began ringing, it was Penny.

“So have your parents tell you if you can come with me or not?”, Jane asked.

“Sorry, about that, unfortunately, my parents won’t allow me to go out with you for halloween
after that argument from yesterday, I’m so sorry about that!”, Penny said with a worried tone.

Jane sighed and said to her that it’s okay, then she hung up the phone. She was really
disappointed with what just happened today, all of her friends couldn’t come because of
their own businesses. Jane went to her parents room to see if she could ask them
whether they could join her for halloween since they had been very busy recently.

She went into their room and her mother immediately said, “Oh! Sweety, sorry but we
cannot join you for halloween because we have a party we need to attend and we won’t be
home until late at night, but at least you have your friends right?”
