New Beginnings

A Lot of people meet new people in places such as school and the mall but this time I had a whole

new different experience. I might be someone who dreams a lot but this time , it's a lot different.

Flashback to 5 months ago where I was just being myself and scrolling through tik tok when I saw
this guy named William dancing to a trending song. I didn’t think of anything at the time and I just
liked the video and followed his tiktok. A few hours later I saw a notification from tik tok saying
William followed me back and followed my instagram too. Trying to not be disrespectful , I
followed him back on instagram too and that is where he started to direct messages to me on
instagram.

Going back to the present day , we have become really close since that day we became online
friends. We decided to finally meet in starbucks in a mall after five months of only being friends on
social media and today’s the day. I am terrified and incredibly anxious for this meeting and every
possible bad thought is running through my head. I don’t know what to think or what to do or
what to say , this is something i know i was not prepared for.
He just texted me saying that he is 5 minutes away , my heart is beating rapidly. I was rehearsing
what I wanted to say to him in my head over and over again and this second , I saw him walking
towards my table. I felt as if time had stopped in that second but when he reached my table , i
couldn’t say anything i was rehearsing and all that came out was “Hi..” in a very nervous tone. I
could tell William was as well as hard that he was trying to hide that feeling.

I was just completely silent as I was looking at his fluffy light brown hair matching his brown hazel
eyes which completely took my breath away. I noticed his birthmark in the side of his eyes the
same as I noticed when he posted that certain tiktok. I was so drawn to his beautiful eyes that I
completely didn't realise that he was trying to make conversation. Zoning back into reality, he was
such a talkative person that made me feel as if he was comfortable talking to me and he has such
a lively and kind personality.

After we started talking for a while, all the bad thoughts started to fade away from my brain and I
felt a lot more enjoyable talking. He was not different from the way we spoke when we were on
social media . He had the same energy , the same smile on his face when talking about space and
NASA and the way he played with his brown hair when talking. He had this unique laugh that I
really think helps him stand out as it was a lot more different. This meeting was such a crazy
experience because I would never have thought this would happen to me . I don't know where is
this gonna lead me or William himself but I can feel this is a start of something new.
