ajkummar Rao who has proved to be
an actor par excellence with films like
R‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’, ‘Shahid’, ‘Trapped’
and ‘Newton’ among others, always has a
great line up of movies in store.
Last year, the actor was appreciated for the
kind of roles and his film selection. Apparently,
Rajkummar feels that people took notice
of him because of the various roles that he
has played on screen. From portraying the
character of Pritam Vidrohi in a commercial
entertainer like ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ to a serious
essaying the role of a rookie government
clerk in ‘Newton’, Rajkummar has managed
to make recognition among the masses due
to such interesting characters that he has
played on screen.”
The actor doesn’t feel the competition in the
industry at all. In fact, he feels happy when
he sees his contemporaries doing various
roles because Rajkummar believes that it’s
important to make Hindi film industry stand
out and also at the same time help actors get
global recognition.
Rajkummar feels that one of the best
performances that he has had till date is that
of his character in ‘CityLights’ (2014) where
he starred opposite his real life girlfriend,
Patralekha.
