When a liquid is held in a container, it exerts pressure on the container.
Apabila suatu cecair disimpan dalam bekas, ia mengenakan tekanan ke atas bekas itu.
(a) What is meant by pressure?

(b) Based on Diagram 9.1 and Diagram 9.2, compare the depth of the water in both containers, the rate
at which water spurts out and the distance achieved by the spurting of water.
Relate the distance travelled by the water that spurts out to the depth of the water. Hence make a
conclusion regarding the relationship between the pressure and the depth of the water.
Berdasarkan Rajah 9.1 and Rajah 9.2, bandingkan kedalaman air dalam kedua-dua bekas, kadar
air itu terpancut keluar dan jarak yang dicapai oleh pancutan air itu.
