3.  Diagram 3 shows a transistor circuit used as an automatic switch.

                 The resistance of the light-dependent resistor (LDR) increases when the surrounding is dark.
                 The lamp will light up when the potential difference across the LDR equals to 7.2 V.
                 The resistance of the LDR is 9 kΩ when the lamp lights up in the dark.
                 Calculate
                 Rintangan perintang peka cahaya (PPC) meningkat apabila persekitarannya adalah gelap.
                 Lampu itu akan menyala apabila beza keupayaan merentasi PPC sama dengan 7.2 V.
                 Rintangan PPC adalah 9 kΩ apabila lampu menyala dalam gelap.

                 Hitungkan
                 (a) the potential difference across R 1 when the lamp lights up
                     beza keupayaan merentasi R 1 apabila lampu itu menyala
                 (b) the resistance of R 1
                     rintangan R 1.
