Project highlights
• Construction works had to be undertaken in a very

tight working space due to the adjacent buildings
and roads. Contiguous bored piles were utilised

to protect adjacent buildings in the basement
excavation.

• Despite strict working hour conditions stipulated

by the Kuala Lumpur City Council, the project was
successfully completed on time without any major

departure from the original schedule.

• The project successfully tapped innovative
construction technology. One of the main

innovations was the introduction of the state-of-
the-art M2 energy saving wall panels adopted

from EMMEDUE® advanced Italian building
system technology. The latter utilises sintered foam

polystyrene materials (EPS) to replace conventional
brick and RC walls.

• The project achieved a GBI Gold rating for its high

energy efficiency and good indoor environmental
quality elements. The implementation of a

stringent Environmental Management Plan with
monthly environmental monitoring for air quality,

water saving efficiency and noise levels ensured
that construction works were carried out in an

environmental friendly manner.
