             MESOPOTAMIA VS                                      MY OWN NUMERAL

                           EGYPT                                              SYSTEM




          The  Grade  7  students  were  assigned  to
          enumerate the similarities and differences of
          Mesopotamia  and  Ancient  Egypt.  In  this
          activity,  students  utilized  the  compare  and
          contrast  feature  of  Pear  Deck.  Using  the
          diagram,  the  students  were  able  to  write
          down their thoughts and share their ideas to
          each other. After listing down the similarities
          and  differences,  students  were  asked  to
          explain  their  answers.  Students  exchanged
          ideas  and  started  to  make  their  own
          conclusions.



                                                                  The Grade 7 students learned about the general
                                                                  information  about  the  Sumerians.    Starting
                                                                  from  art  to  their  education.  Sumerians  also
                                                                  developed  their  numeral  system.  On  this  task,
                                                                  the  students  were  challenged  to  make  their
                                                                  own  numeral  system  inspired  by  Sumerians.
                                                                  From  different  shapes  and  symbols,  students
                                                                  learned that they can put different meanings or
                                                                  values into things.
