หลักไวยากรณ (Grammar focus)

Modal Verb เปนกรยิ าชว ยซงึ่ นาํ มาใชก ับกรยิ าหลัก และตองคํานึงถึงสถานการณดวย
เพราะคํากริยาเหลานี้จะมีความหมายตามสถานการณท่ีใช กริยาชวยน้ีจะตามหลังดวยกริยา
(กริยาชอ ง 1) เสมอ Modal Verb มีดงั นี้

will would จะ
shall (n) should ควรจะ
can could สามารถ
may might อาจจะ
must ตอ ง
ought to ควรจะ

การใช Modal Verb
1. will โดยปกติแปลวา จะใชใ นกรณที แ่ี สดงอนาคตกาล และจะใชกบั บรุ ุษท่ี 3 คือ
he/she/it เชน

She will go to see the dentist tomorrow.

ในกรณีที่ will ใชกับประธานบรุ ษุ ที่ 1 (I, we) จะใชใ นกรณีทแ่ี สดงความตงั้ ใจ
ความปรารถนา หรอื การสัญญา เชน

We will do whatever we can to help you.

2. would เพ่อื แสดงการถามแบบสภุ าพ เชน
Would you like a cup of tea? Yes, please.
would + like ใชเ ม่อื แสดงความประสงค เชน

I would like to read this book first. (อาจเขยี นยอ เปน I’d like…..)
