Aktiviti 2.1 Preparing slides of animal cells

Tujuan Menyedia dan mengkaji sel haiwan TP 2 2
Aim To prepare and observe animal cells
Bahan Sel haiwan (sel pipi manusia), larutan metilena biru, air suling, kertas turas, pencungkil gigi
Materials Animal cells (cheek cells), methylene blue solution, distilled water, filter paper, toothpicks
Radas Mikroskop cahaya, slaid kaca, penutup slaid kaca, jarum tenggek, penitis BAB
Apparatus Light microscope, glass slides, cover slips, mounting needle, dropper
Prosedur 1. Kumur mulut anda untuk mengeluarkan sebarang zarah makanan.
Procedure Rinse your mouth to remove any food particles.
2. Kikis permukaan dalaman pipi anda dengan menggunakan bahagian tumpul sebatang pencungkil gigi.
Gently scrape the inside of your cheek using a blunt part of a toothpick.
3. Sapukan kikisan di atas slaid kaca dengan setitis air.
Stir the scrapings into a glass slide with a drop of water.
4. Turunkan penutup slaid kaca secara perlahan-lahan.
Lower the cover slip gently.
5. Titiskan satu titisan larutan metilena biru di pinggir penutup slaid kaca.
Add a drop of methylene blue solution to the edge of the cover slip.
6. Keringkan pewarna berlebihan dengan kertas turas di hujung bertentangan penutup slaid kaca.
Drain off the excess stain with a filter paper to the opposite end of the cover slip.

7. Periksa slaid di bawah mikroskop.
Examine the slide under the microscope.
8. Lukis sel pipi yang diperhatikan.
Draw the observed cheek cells.
