                  Bakteria daripada udara memasuki lateks. Bakteria merembeskan asid laktik. Ion H  meneutralkan cas negatif

                  pada membran protein menyebabkan lateks menggumpal. Akan tetapi, proses ini berlaku dengan perlahan.

                  Bacteria from the air enter latex. Bacteria secrete lactic acid.  H   ions neutralise the negative charges on the protein membrane causing the
                  coagulation of latex. However, this process occurs slowly.

                6.  Terangkan bagaimana penggumpalan lateks dicegah.   SP 4.2.2    TP4   KBAT  Menganalisis
                  Explain how coagulation of latex can be prevented.
                  Dengan menambah larutan ammonia atau larutan alkali yang lain. Larutan ammonia mengandungi ion OH

                  yang meneutralkan ion H  yang dihasilkan oleh bakteria. Zarah-zarah getah kekal bercas negatif.

                  Penggumpalan lateks dicegah. / By adding ammonia solution or other alkaline solution. Ammonia solution consists of OH  ions

                  that neutralise the H  ions produced by the bacteria. The rubber particles remain negatively charged. Coagulation of latex is prevented.
