mereka. Kedua-dua tapak kolam dan kawasan laman belakang berbentuk segi empat sama. Diberi panjang laman

Encik Rozaimi and his son want to build a base of a fish pond in the middle of their backyard. Both the base of the pond and the backyard are in
square shape. Given the length of the backyard is 450 cm and the area of the base of the pond is 4.41 m . How are they going to make sure the

position of the fish pond is in the middle of the backyard?
Panjang laman belakang
The length of the backyard
= 450 cm ÷ 100
= 4.5 m Cari jarak di antara kolam dengan setiap sisi
laman belakang.
Find the distance between the pond and each side of the

= 4.5 m – 2.1 m
= 2.4 m

Distance between the pond and each side of the backyard Semak Semula
= 2.4 m ÷ 2 Panjang laman belakang
= 1.2 m The length of the backyard
= 2.1 + 2(1.2)
= 2.1 + 2.4
= 4.5 m
= 450 cm
Bagi memastikan kedudukan kolam ikan berada di tengah-tengah laman belakang, jarak antara kolam dengan
setiap sisi laman belakang mestilah 1.2 m.
To make sure the fish pond is in the middle of the backyard, the distance between the pond and each side of the backyard must be 1.2 m.
