MUET My Way Part 1 - Listening

                                    2   Shadowing, where we read along with the audio, has also been
                                        found to be effective. As you listen, you speak along the audio.
                                        Research has also shown this to bring numerous benefits
                                        like increased listening skills. It will also improve students,
                                        pronunciation and overall speaking skills.


                                    3   Extensive listening is where students are exposed to a large amount
                                        of rich and comprehensible data. The key here is to allow yourself
                                        to listen to things which you can understand. The more you expose
                                        yourself to a large listening input, the more words you will acquire
                                        and learn. These words can then help you in your writing skills
                                        as the more words you know, the easier it is to verbalise your
                                        thoughts into words; be it speaking or writing. Renandya and Day
                                        (2020) strongly advocate the need to infuse extensive listening into
   LISTENING
                                        language classrooms.
