                15.  Selesaikan masalah berikut.
                     Solve the following problems.
                     (a)  Suhu awal cecair di dalam sebuah bikar ialah 19°C. Bikar itu dipanaskan dan suhunya meningkat sebanyak
                         71°C selepas setengah jam. Kemudian, bikar itu dibiarkan dan suhu menurun sebanyak 2°C setiap minit
                         selama setengah jam. Apakah suhu akhir cecair itu selepas satu jam?  TP 4   KBAT  Menganalisis
                         The initial temperature of a liquid in a beaker is 19°C. The beaker is heated and its temperature increased by 71°C after half an hour.
                         Then, the beaker is left and the temperature decreased by 2°C every minute for half an hour. What is the final temperature of the liquid
                         after one hour?

                         = 19 + 71 – 2(30)                                             Suhu meningkat menunjukkan tanda ‘+’.
                         = 19 + 71 – 60                                                Suhu menurun menunjukkan tanda ‘–’.
                         = 90 – 60                                                     Temperature increased shows ‘+’ sign.
                                                                                       Temperature decreased shows ‘–’ sign.
                         = 30°C


                     (b)  Harga sebuah rumah kos rendah ialah RM120 000. Jika harganya menurun sebanyak RM50 setiap 4
                         bulan, berapakah harga rumah itu selepas tiga tahun?  TP 5
                         The price of a low cost house is RM120 000. If the price drops RM50 every 4 months, what is the price of the house after three years?
                         Harganya menurun sebanyak RM50 setiap 4 bulan.             Selepas tiga tahun / After three years,
                         The price drops RM50 every 4 months.                       3 × RM150 = RM450
                         Dalam 1 tahun / In 1 year
                         12 ÷ 4 = 3 kali penurunan harga                            \ Harga rumah itu selepas tiga tahun:
                                 3 times of price drops                                    The price of the house after three years:
                         Setiap tahun, harga rumah menurun sebanyak:                      RM120 000 – RM450 = RM119 550
                         Every year, the price of the house drops:
                           RM50 × 3 = RM150

                         Berdasarkan transaksi tersebut, nyatakan baki wang dalam akaun Khairi pada bulan Februari. Kemudian,
                         huraikan maksud baki tersebut.
                         Based on the transaction, state the balance in Khairi’s account in February. Hence, describe the meaning of the balance.
                         Baki wang / Balance amount  = 320 + (–175) + 50 + (–80)
                                                 = 320 – 175 + 50 – 80
                                                 = 145 + 50 – 80
                                                 = 195 – 80
                                                 = RM115
                         Baki wang Khairi dalam akaun bernilai positif. Ini bermaksud Khairi mempunyai baki dalam akaunnya
                         sebanyak RM115.
                         Khairi’s balance in the account is a positive value. This means Khairi has balance of  RM115 in his account.
