5.3 Water Purification and Water Supply

1. The following shows the water purification method:
Boiling
Pond
• Boiling kills microorganisms. water
• Dissolved substances and dispersed nutrients still remain in
boiled water.
• Boiled water is used as drinking water at home.
Chlorination
• Chlorine solution is added to water with the aim to kill
microorganisms. Chlorine

Filtration
