                                               EN32212 Basic English Writing


               Mattayom 5  Semester 1                                                  60 hours 1.5 credit

                       This course provides opportunity for students to questions and interact. Many of the
               tasks  and  exercise  involve  pair-work  and  group-work  activities,  and  whole-class  discussion.

               Working with others helps students solidify their understanding, and challenge and expand their
               ability to think critically.

                       Understand what previewing, scanning, and identifying the purpose of a text. Identify the

               main idea, analyze the essence interpret and express opinions from listening to reading feature
               articles and entertainment articles, as well as provide justifications and examples for illustration.

               Explain and write sentences and texts related to various forms of non-text information, as well
               as specify and write various forms of non-text information related to sentences and texts heard

               or read. Read and write appropriately about the data, describe, explain opinions about matters/

               issues / news and situations heard and read. Accurately read aloud texts, news, advertisements,
               poems  and skits  by  observing the  principles  of reading. Study  the  writing process, parts  of

               paragraphs, paragraph format, various types of paragraph organization, coherence, paragraph

               unity, transition signals, and various sentence structures.
                       Through individual work, pair work, group work, group discussion, searching information,

               presentation, and writing activities which develop critical thinking skills.
                       In order to promote positive attitude towards learning English and build up desirable

               characteristics and learners’ key competencies.



               Objectives:


               At the end of this course, students will be able to:

                    1. Converse and write to exchange data about themselves and various matters around

               them,  experiences,  situations,  news/incidents  and  issues  of  interest  to  society,  and
               communicate the data continuously and appropriately.

                    2. Choose and use requests and give instructions, clarifications and explanations fluently.
