LaTonya Kadar
About : A lifelong Pacific Northwest resident, LaTonya graduated from Mount Tahoma High
School in 1990 and attended Pacific Lutheran University until 1993. About 26 years later,
LaTonya joined the Sankofa community and achieved her Bachelor?s degree from The
Evergreen State College Tacoma, in 2019 with a focus in Sociology. ?I always knew that I

was going to be a college graduate, I just didn? know when. Attending Evergreen Tacoma is

Current ly: After 9 years, LaTonya recently resigned from locally-based TrueBlue and
accepted a life-changing offer from Sound Transit. LaTonya joined the Sound Transit
agency as an Equity & Inclusion Training and Engagement Specialist, in the Office of Civil
Rights, Equity and Inclusion. ?Working at Sound Transit in the capacity of Inclusion Culture
is more than I could have imagined. I would not have the awareness and perspective for
this work without the brilliant teachings of Evergreen faculty, the authenticity of the
