          Professional Learning in action: AISWA teachers contribute to ACARAs

          growing body of work samples

          In  May,  approximately  30  AISWA  teachers  from  14  schools  participated  in  a  one  day  workshop  with  ACARA
          consultants to support the acquisition of additional work samples for Mathematics, Science and English. These
          work  samples  will  be  collected  and  added  to  the  growing  repository  of  samples  available  on  the  Australian
          Curriculum  website.    Teachers  from  the  following  schools  were  involved  in  this  very  valuable  Professional
          Learning activity.

          Review of the Melbourne Declaration


          In the Term 2 newsletter, we advised of the review of the Melbourne
          Declaration  and  the  request  for  input  into  this  review  from
          stakeholders.  With  the  support  of  AISWA’s  Education  Policy
          Committee, AISWA presented a submission to the review. A full list
          of  published  submissions  can  be  found  on  the  Education  Council
          website.


          In  the  coming  weeks  consultation  events  are  occurring    in  some
          States and Territories. A national webinar and Q & A scheduled for
          22 August is open for registrations.
