UN DAY

On Thursday, 1st November 2018 JPGS celebrated
United Nations Day. Prep School pupils arrived at
school wearing their national dress. The exceptional
effort of the pupils to represent their country was
astounding. The school became alive with colour.
Pupils also brought a plate of food from their country
to share with their peers and let them experience a
small flavour what their country has to offer. There
were some really delicious treats from all around
the world. Unfortunately, heavy rains disrupted the
celebrations and the safety of the children became a
priority and school closed early.

Before pupils went home the Prep School gathered
together in the hall to recognise everybody and their
country by participating in a mini parade along the
stage. It was very clear that the pupils had great
pride in their dress and their country, walking with
purpose and enjoying the attention as they represented
themselves, their families, and their country of origin.
One can only be proud of our institution as our school
community is filled with families from all across the
globe and we are able to successfully learn as one
school family. Our pupils truly are global citizens.
