BA, QTS
EYFS Coordinator
As we come to the end of this very unique year, let
us pause for a moment and reflect on the sequence of
events. We were still teaching and learning remote-
ly in September with little hope of schools reopening
at that time. Together, we the teachers, and you the
parents, worked more closely than ever before to en-
sure that the virtual classroom was a place where the
children could still continue to follow the curriculum
expectations in a purposeful, fun, and meaningful
way. Despite not being together physically, we were
still able to address the children’s emotional and social
skills and stretch their learning and creativity.
To all EYFS parents, with your continued help and sup-
port, we have made it to the end of the year which is
the closing of one door and the opening of another and
I want to thank you for all the warmth, the wonderful
memories, and for all the learning that we have shared
together. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your
child’s journey, for supporting us in your child’s learn-
ing, and for being great teachers yourselves.
To those parents who have been with me since Nurs-
ery, I really feel we have grown together and a lit-
tle bit of you will always remain with me. Good
luck to our Reception children who will embark
upon their next adventure in Year One. Nurs-
ery children, I look forward to welcoming you
back after the holiday.
Wishing you a lovely summer and looking for-
ward to your child’s next step in his/her learning
journey.
