Finite Verb

 The main verb in the sentence and it can change its form to

agree with tense, voice, and subject.

Finite verb (กริยาแท้) คือ กริยาที่ท าหน้าที่แสดงอาการหรือการ
กระท าของประธานในประโยค ลองนึกภาพดูว่าในประโยคใดประโยคหนึ่ง

อาจจะมีค าที่มีรูปร่างหน้าตาเป็นค ากริยาปรากฏอยู่มากกว่า 1 ค า แต่จะมี

กริยาเพียงตัวเดียวที่เป็นกริยาแท้ในประโยค เป็นกริยาของประธานใน
ประโยค กริยาที่เป็น finite verb จะสามารถผันรูปได้ตาม subject,

Tense, voice และ voice เช่น

 ผันตาม Tense

I am not playing game, but I am doing homework.
(ผันเป็น verb ที่เติม ing ตาม present continuous tense)

They have just finished their work.
(ผันเป็น verb ช่อง 3ตาม present perfect tense)

 ผันตาม subject
She goes to work by car every day. (ประธานเอกพจน์)

Many people like going abroad. (ประธานพหูพจน์)

 ผันตาม voice
Sarah told me her secret. (active voice)

I was told about this matter many times. (passive voice)
