Prepositional phrase = PP

Prepositional phrase (บุพบทวลี) มีโครงสร้างคือ preposition + noun

phrase เช่น

 in my bedroom

PP นี้มี in เป็น preposition ตามด้วย noun phrase คือ my

 bedroom on the table
PP นี้มี on เป็น preposition ตามด้วย noun phrase คือ the table

เมื่อ prepositional phrase ปรากฏอยู่ในประโยคมันท าหน้าที่อะไรได้บ้าง
(prepositional phrase คือส่วนที่ขีดเส้นใต้)

 I like to read in bed.
บุพบทวลี in bed ท าหน้าที่เป็น adverbial ขยายกริยา read

 I took several courses in history.
