MATERIAL HANDLING
SUMMARY
That chapter can be summarized as follows:
1 . MH can be defined as providing the right amount of the right material in
the right condition, at the right price, at the right time in the right position,
in the right sequence, and for the right cost by the right methods.
2 . There are about 20 material handling principles have been discuss in this
chapter such as planning, system and space utilization principles.
3. Material handling equipment can be categorizeed into 4 categories, they
are containers and unitizing equipment, material transport equipment,
storage and retrieval equipment and automatic identification and
communication equipment.
