Neutron Activation
Analysis

Neutron activation analysis (NAA) is a nuclear process
used for determining the concentrations of elements
in a single and multiphase materials. Single phase
material is made by the only one element, while multi
phase material is composed by more than one ele-
ments. NAA relies on detection of gamma radiation
emits by the elements from a sample after excitation by
neutrons in a nuclear reactor or other neutron sources,
This technique can be applied during or after the nu-
clear interaction between a neutron with the target atomic
nuclies and resulting with all elements will become ra-
dioactive and produces gamma radiation, alpha and
