the education, health and income of those girls. They become mother at an early age
and sometimes bear too many children. According to the law of Nepal, 20 years is the
marriageable age but many bear a few children within that age. Awareness is needed to

reduce this problem.
Unit 8
Hari Khadka is a great football player of Nepal. He was born on November 26, 1976

in Jhapa district. He started his professional football in 1994 making his debut for
Ranipokhari Corner Team (RCT). He is a forward. He was also called the goal machine of
Nepal. He has played forty one international matches for Nepal. He has scored thirteen

international goals which the joint highest by a Nepali footballer along with Nirajan
Rayamajhi. He retired as a player in 2006. After his retirement he has been sharing his
knowledge as a coach. He also took part in the FIFA ‘A’ level training course.

Rebecca : Hey, Karuna! Where are you?
Karuna : Hello, Rebecca! I’m at home helping my mom.
Rebecca : Listen, we have planned to play Bhaili. Would you like to join us?

Karuna : That sounds like a good idea! Who will be the other friends?
Rebecca : There are many from our tole and a few from Rangeli Tole.
Karuna : When are you going to start?
Rebecca : Today at 1 pm. We’ll play the whole day, stop at 9 pm and restart at 11 am

tomorrow.
Karuna : Well! I’ll talk to my mother and call you back.
Rebecca : Ok! But do it fast.
Karuna : Sure! Bye!
