Lesson 7 conStruction work Unit 1

              A. Creative Work from Wire
By twisting wire, figures of straight, round,
square and semi circle can be made. From these
shapes figures of human, flower and tree can
be constructed. Thin wire can be twisted with
hands but it requires pliers to twist thick wire. To

join the two ends of a wire, they can be twisted
together. Observe the picture of a car on the side A car made from wire
and discuss how it would have constructed.

              B. Creative work from rope
Toys can be made using ropes outside or inside the
classroom. The picture on the side is constructed
from rope. Guess how it would have been made.

              C. Creative work from paper box
Paper boxes are easily available around us. It is
easy to construct different shapes out of these Swing made from rope

boxes by cutting and joining them. To make
paper boxes, you have to join square paper.
Observe the picture on the side and discuss how
              it has been constructed.
