Lesson 10 PracticinG madal Unit 1
You must have heard madal being played and many of you may have
even tried it. It is one of the important Nepali folk instruments. Madal
has two ends. Listen to the sound (bol) being produced from the two
ends of the madal.

end (small-side): tL, tf+u, gf, kfs (big-side): s, lw+ lw+
The following are the two simple rhythms (taal) produced from a Madal.
