Malala yoUsafzai
Malala Yousafzai was born
on 12 July 1997 in the Swat
Valley in northwest Pakistan
as the first child of Ziauddin
Yousafzai and Tor Pekai
Yousafzai. Her father Ziauddin
was a poet, school owner and
an education activitist. She
had a pleasant childhood with
her parents and two small
brothers at home. Because of her father’s passion to education,
she was happily sent to school where at the time it was quite
difficult for a Muslim girl to attend school.
