By then she was recognized as a popular activist and a strong
opponent of Taliban.
As Malala became more recognized, dangers began hovering
around her. It was the afternoon of 9 October 2012, Malala was
in her school bus back to home. A
gunman attacked her with a pistol.
He fired three shots on her. But
luckily she was saved. She was
taken to England for her treatment.
After the attack, support grew for
her. She became more popular
and her movement became much
stronger. She was honoured with
a number of prizes and titles. In 2014 she was awarded the
Nobel Peace Prize, the most reputed prize ever and became the
youngest ever laureate, aged only 17, of the prize.
Since then she has been living in England and continuing her
study. She is an excellent student. She has planned to join politics
after her study. Let’s pray that the dream of this girl come true.
