It is here in our wounded, broken science models that a Caring
Science may reorient us or, at least, point us toward another science
model that may be more hopeful for understanding and living our
caring and healing. It is here, in this transition, this space and place
between the breaths, that we can quiet the pace, bow down, and take
in new energy and new directions to inspire (inspirit-ensoul) our work
and our world. The more science learns, it seems the greater nature
and life’s mystery grow. As we seek to increase our knowledge and
wisdom of our deepening and expanding humanity, it opens science to
even more profound beauty and wonder of life’s infinite cosmic con-
nectedness and oneness in which we reside (Weber 1986).
So, within Caring Science, we now have a new call to bring us
back to that which already resides deep within us and intersects with
the focus of caring and healing at this time. It allows us to uncover the
latent infinite Love in our work and world and connect with contem-
porary philosophies that invite Love and Caring through our ethics of
Being-Becoming-Belonging. This revised text invites us to make the
leap of faith back into metaphysics and a moral foundation for our
science and our life, to incorporate into our science the reverence for
the sacredness of life and death and our shared human heart-centered
           evolution.
Ultimately and finally, may we be inspired with a renewed com-
mitment to remember who we are and why we came here: To Love, To
Serve and To Remember (Astin 1991).
