procedures of the flag raising ceremony. Use the following details to
help you.

The flag should be hoisted briskly and lowered slowly with dignity. There are only two
acceptable positions for the flag to be flown – Full Mast: the top of the flag is at the top of
the pole and Half Mast: only in times of mourning when the top of the flag is flown at the
midpoint of the pole. When the flag is being carried, it should never be allowed to touch
anything beneath it, nor should it ever be carried flat or horizontally.
