The School of Commerce, Administration and Social Science of Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas, has the solid
              commitment to coordinate enduring efforts with the business sector and the government in order to innovate and
              implement actions for the benefit of a “Competitive Youth” that ensures the development of Nuevo Laredo and the
              region at short, medium and long term.

              This handbook is a tool of great importance for researches and scholars who focus their studies in the “Two Laredos”
              region. We should all contribute to strengthening this instrument for the benefit of society.

              We congratulate once again the Institute for Competitiveness and Foreign Trade (ICCE) and the City of Nuevo
              Laredo, for their Binational Socioeconomic Handbook “Laredos Region” 2020. This handbook provides information
              that supports human, social and economic development.


              We want to highlight the collaboration between the ICCE and Dr. Federico Schaffler, Director of the Center for
              Economic and Business Development of the Texas Border, whose shared work generated part of the data and
              figures presented in this handbook. We reiterate our congratulations to all those who have made this concise and
              practical handbook possible.
