The following diagram shows the scale of the same vernier callipers when there are 50
pieces of cardboard between the jaws. Determine the thickness of one piece of cardboard.
Zero error : - 0.04 cm
Reading of Vernier caliper : 5.64 cm
Thickness of 50 cardboards : 5.64 cm – (-0.04 cm)
= 5.68 cm
Thickness of 1 cardboard : 5.68 cm / 50
= 0.1136 cm
