FASHION CHAIN, H&M WANTS TO MAKE
A DIFFERENCE
Besides the food industry, the fashion industry also produces a lot of waste.
To be exact of how much waste, in 2017, around 16.9 million tons of textile
waste was produced in the United States, but only 2.6 million was
recycled. However, the popular fashion chain, H&M, wants to change that.
In their Sweden store, they have a machine called the "Looop" that will
take your abandoned clothes and transform them into new clothes in
around 5 hours. At this moment, there are only three options to choose
from – a sweater, a baby blanket, or a scarf.
