Le Morne Beach sits right nets to Morne Brabant Mountain, on a
peninsula on the west coast of Mauritius. Morne Mountain was
listed as a World Heritage UNESCO.
This is a wonderful location, an out-of-this-world beach, with
white sand, large casuarina trees and crystalline water, making it
the best kite surfing spot of Mauritius. This is the kind of beach
that has a flat slope, having the water deepen slowly as you walk
through it.
Did you know that actually Mauritius was the only known
habitat of the long-extinct flightless bird, the Dodo bird? This is
still considered to be the national bird of the country.
People over here are also free to practice whatever religion they
choose, the majority of them identifying as Hindu (the only
African country with a majority of Hindu believers).
