The Food Pantry could use a few more volunteers in this New Year. Will you please
take a look at the needs below and prayerfully consider lending a hand?

2019 Opportunities to Serve:

1) Help deliver food from the church’s food pantry. It’s easy (really!) and takes about
1 hour per delivery. You can fit it into your schedule, and of course you can decide
how often you’d like to make a delivery (once a month, twice a month, etc.). Please call Deb Foertsch at 649-2352
for more info. It would be great to have 3-4 new volunteers!

2) We could use a couple of volunteers to help stock our food pantry shelves. This takes about an hour once each
month—usually the first Tuesday of the month around 4:00 PM at the church. Please give Deb Foertsch a ring, if you
can help: 649-2352.

If you would like to join other members of our congregation serving with the Savoy UMC food ministry by
transporting food, distributing food at Shadow Wood, etc., your help would be welcomed. And as always, we need
and appreciate your continued prayers for this ministry.

Canned beans Distribution-January 8th
Canned chicken or tuna fish We hope you will join us on January 8th at 4:00pm to set

Canned tomatoes up & distribute the food. The food pantry is also in need
Pasta sauce and spaghetti of a few people who can meet at the church to unload

Canned fruit food there also. Mark your calendars to serve on the first
Tuesday of the month (except January)! Contact Cindy
