I believe all students are capable of reaching excellence in some way or form. And as a teacher, I see it as my duty to guide students in reaching great
heights. To reach this stage of excellence, traditional methods of teaching where students listen to teachers for hours on end are no longer effective.
Fortunately for me, I found an academy in Habit 9 that realizes this changing trend and allows me to implement dynamic and unique teaching methods
that are more student-oriented.
So, what value do I find in teaching? It’s simple. The value I find in teaching is having the opportunity to create a positive change in the world. For
example, I teach my students moral values such as empathy. And through student-oriented discussions and final presentations,
I can see them truly grasp the meaning of empathy and how to exercise it. Hopefully, the students will apply these lessons in their real lives outside of
Habit 9 and thus creating a positive change chain-reaction.
Aside from teaching methods and the academy itself,
I would also like to point out that I work with some of the most amazing and talented teachers I have ever met! Sure, we bicker and debate about
things we don’t agree on when it comes to work. However, that just means we are all passionate and truly care about what we do here, which is
teaching! If no one cared to fight for change or cared to share individual opinions, what good are we as teachers? We owe it to the students to provide
the best of the best. We should constantly strive to improve ourselves every day and I believe we do that here.
As such, I am proud of calling myself a member of the Habit 9 family. Thank you ^^V
