Rule of duplet: It is the tendency of element to have
2 electrons in k-shell as it is the outermost shell.
Hydrogen, Lithium, Beryllium and Boron always
show this tendency.
Rule of octet: It is the tendency of elements to have
8 electrons in their outermost shell except k-shell.
Most of the elements show this tendency.
Due to this type of tendency elements show the
reactivity while elements which are already in either
duplet or octet do not show reactivity.
